1 Tbsp Gelatin
2 Tbsp Hot Water
2 C Plain LIve-Culture Yogurt*
2 Tbsp Honey
4 Organic Pears, Peeled and Halved
Juice of 3 Organic Oranges
2 Cinnamon Sticks
Sprinkle gelatin over the hot water and let it stand for 10 minutes to soften. Mix thoroughly with the yogurt and honey. Refrigerate until thickened (start preparation a few hours before needed).
Place prepared pears in a saucepan. Poach in blood orange juice with cinnamon sticks until fruit is soft and glowing pink, about 15 to 20 minutes. Remove pears with a slotted spoon and keep warm. Boil the juice to reduce it slightly, then remove cinnamon sticks. Serve pears with the juice and the honey-thickened yogurt.
