The younger brother to the hard boiled egg. This version keeps the yolk runny and delicious. 


Ingredients



  • Eggs

  • Salt


Directions



  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil

  2. Gently lower eggs into the boiling water and cook for 5-6 minutes, depending on desired level of doneness. Immediately place into ice water to cool and stop the cooking process. Alternatively, use the warm, soft-boiled eggs immediately. Garnish with salt. 


Note: These soft-boiled eggs are crazy versatile. Use them warm on your next bowl of ramen, a hot bowl of rice, or even a salad. Serve them chilled with anything from your favorite hot sauce, to a mix of freshly chopped herbs, to the little tin of salmon roe floating around in your fridge.
