A fun new take on a traditional pecan pie.
1 C Butter, Softened
2/3 C Brown Sugar
3 C All-Purpose Flour
1/2 Tsp Sea Salt
1/2 C Butter
1 C Brown Sugar
1/3 C Honey
2 Tbsp Heavy Cream
2 C Chopped Pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and line 9 by 13 inch pan with foil with a 2 inch overhang. Spray with nonstick spray.
For the crust, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add flour and salt until crumbly. Press crust into prepared pan and bake for 20 minutes.
While the crust bakes, prepare the filling. Combine butter, sugar, honey, and heavy cream in saucepan and stir over medium heat. Simmer for 1 minute, then stir in chopped pecans. Pour filling on hot crust and bake an additional 5 minutes.
Remove, cool completely, and use foil to lift out bars. Transfer to a cutting board, peel off foil, and slice into bars. Enjoy!
