Your children will think they are at the Circus eating cotton candy!

~ Chef Paul Allen

Ingredients

2 Acorn Squash, Local

2 Tbl Butter, Grass-Fed

1 1/2 Tbl Raw Sugar

1/2 Tsp Cinnamon

1/4 Tsp Nutmeg

(or just use our Cinnamon Sugar Blend, it is in our dry good section)

Directions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.  Slice acorn squash in half diagonally.  Take out seeds and retain.  (toast them off with some sea salt for added enjoyment or plant them to grow)  Poke flesh with a fork to add love pockets (butter likes these pockets) and add even amount of butter to each half.  Then add sugar and cinnamon and nutmeg.

Step 2
Roast uncovered with light on so you can check without opening oven.  When the top caramelizes and you can poke with a fork easily through, you are done!
