Fill your kitchen with the warm smells of roasted squash and sage. This is a simple and crowd pleasing side dish to any fall time meal. Roasting is one of the most useful and basic cooking techniques, try it out with this recipe.

Ingredients


1 L Butternut Squash, Peeled and Diced


4-6 Fresh Sage Leaves, Chiffonade (or Dried, Rubbed into Powder)


1/4 C Brown Sugar


2 Tbsp Melted Butter


1 Tbsp Olive Oil


Sea Salt and Cracked Pepper to Taste


Directions


Step 1
Preheat oven to 400F. On a large baking tray, toss together the diced butternut squash, sage, brown sugar, salt & pepper.


Step 1
Drizzle over the butter and olive oil, gentley toss to coat. Roast in oven for 25-30 minuites untill tender. Serve hot


Chef's Tip
At the last 5 minuites of baking, toss in a handful of crumbled pecans for an extra layer of flavor.
