Mix things up in the kitchen! Turn this staple recipe into something exotic, purple potaotes add beautiful color to your plate. Sesame oil kicks this recipe up to the next level too.

Ingredients


1 lb Purple Potatoes


2 Tbls Butter


1 Tbls Sesame Oil


1/4 C Heavy Cream


Sesame Seeds


Sea Salt (to taste)


Directions


Step 1
Wash and cut your purple potatoes.


Step 2 
Bring a large pot of water to a boil, add a tablespoon of salt to the water


Step 3
Add the potatoes to the water and boil untill fork tender. Drain the water and return the potatoes to the pot.


Step  4
Add the butter, half the sesame oil (optional if you do not have any), and heavy cream to the pot and mash with a masher or hand mixer until fluffy. Season with sea salt to taste. 


Step 5
When servine, drizzle sesame oil over the top of the potatoes and garnish with black and white toasted sesame seeds.
